Your license will remain valid for minor product updates (for example from version 3.1 to 3.2). Major product upgrades require a new license, which registered owners of a previous version will often be eligible to purchase at a reduced cost. A major upgrade is defined as having a new major version number (for example from version 3.9 to 4.0).
Upgrading to a major new version is optional. Previous older versions will still work, but no further minor updates will be released for the older versions.
Your license is valid for the version of the product available at the time of purchase, for a specific edition (for example, standard or Pro) and a specific operating system (for example, Windows or Mac).
This product upgrade policy is effective beginning on December 19, 2009 at 12:00 A.M. US Eastern Time. Registered owners who previously purchased with a lifetime-free-upgrade offer are qualified for updates and upgrades of the product free of charge.
We reserve the right to change this policy at any time.
